Lynnwood Mayor and City Council Recognize the Lynnwood High Girls Basketball team on their State Championship
 
On Monday, March 23, Mayor Nicola Smith and the Lynnwood City Council were pleased to welcome the players and coaches from the Lynnwood High School Girls Basketball team to congratulate them on their recent WIAA 3A State Championship win.
A proclamation was read and presented to the team commending them on their hard work which allowed them to reach the state tournament level. The team displayed great sportsmanship, team spirit, and dedication throughout the season and tournament. The proclamation also stated the city's, "admiration of the young women of the Lynnwood
High School Girls Basketball team and [commended] them for representing our city
with dignity and class, thus being model ambassadors in our community."
