Proposed Operations & Maintenance Satellite Facility Lynnwood Alternative Site

Sound Transit's ST2 expansion of regional Link light rail requires a facility to be built by 2020 to maintain and store new light rail vehicles.  One of the three proposed sites is next to a residential neighborhood in Lynnwood, east of 52nd Ave W and Cedar Valley Rd and 2014th St SW.

Potential construction and operation impacts may include, but are not limited to:

  • Displacement of businesses and DSHS office
  • Construction noise
  • Wetlands and vegetation removal
  • Conflicts with voter approved plans by the Edmonds School District to develop a District Support Center
