Featuring Kevin Wildermuth
“Late State Patriotism in America” photography series by Seattle photographer Kevin Wildermuth is featured at the Lynnwood Library Gallery from June 28 to August 8. Kevin has noticed a prevalence of red, white and blue throughout his travels in the western part of the United States and is struck by the now faded and tattered flag iconography that has sprung up in the wake of 9/11. The symbolism is hard to ignore in the midst of prolonged wars, political division and fading hopes of average folks. Wildermuth's images depict life in America as witnessed from "Main Street," where infrastructure is crumbling and yet there is perseverance in the face of adversity and a prevailing reflexive vernacular patriotism.
