Mobile Food Vendor and Food Truck Survey
The City of Lynnwood is updating its mobile food vendor code, specifically for Food Trucks, and seeking public feedback! Our goal is to create a Mobile Food Vendor Permit that has clear processes, submittal requirements, and general regulations. The Snohomish County Health Department is responsible for licensing all mobile food vendors; however, only trucks and trailers can obtain permits to operate without being part of a special event, such as a fair or farmer’s market. For this reason, we will refer to mobile food vendors as “food trucks” in this survey. Food trucks and food trailers can move and operate on both private land and street parking.
Take our quick survey and share your opinions on food trucks in Lynnwood!

Park Operations & Maintenance Division Updates Crews have been focusing efforts on cleaning and painting restrooms at some of the larger parks. Lynndale and Meadowdale parks both are in the process.
Work continues with the South Lynnwood Forestry Grant at Scriber Lake Park. The park frontage is looking awesome with the removal of much of the invasive plants and restoration plantings. You can clearly see the areas of improvements as crews use plant cages to protect the young understory plants.
Sierra Swan with Scouts BSA Troop 312 completed her Eagle project at Lynndale Park in March. Her project included restoration of over 2000 feet of native forest, protective fencing and signage. She worked with park staff to address an area that has been compacted and degraded in the past. Siera planted a mix of trees and understory plants to complete the project. Nearly 100 plants were added to the park.

The Lynnwood Police Department was busy this month connecting with our community! Our PD Volunteers donated nearly 400 hours to ensure that our city is a safer place to live, work, and run a business. Thank you, Volunteers! Our outreach team held fraud prevention training at Fairwinds Brighton Court, helped create information flyers in collaboration with KOZ Alderwood for their residents’ safety, held a Coffee with a Cop at Destinations Lynnwood, and held our first Neighborhood Safety Meeting of the year at the newly opened Haven Café. And if you attended the State of the City at Lynnwood Neighborhood Center, our team was passing out information about our upcoming events (Cops and Kids, June 6th at Alderwood Mall) and available services.
We look forward to connecting with you all more as Spring and Summer approach! If you would like us to come out to your business, group, or neighborhood, please reach out to crimeprevention@lynnwoodwa.gov.
And finally, we created “When to Call 911” postcards. If you would like to distribute these to your community, email Crime Prevention Specialist Alice Hanh at ahanh@lynnwoodwa.gov to arrange pickup. Share this information with your loved ones:
