Snowed In at Spruce Park
Crews spent some time preparing for the cold weather last month. We had around 4 inches of snow and all the parks saw plenty of action as children came out to enjoy a couple days playing in the parks. The picture is from Spruce Park.

Improving Our Parks Park crews continue to work on improvements to Daleway and Scriber restrooms. All improvements will meet the current ADA guidelines. Cameras and other security improvements have been included in the restoration of the facilities. This will help reduce graffiti and potentially identify the people responsible.

Public Works
Weathering the Winter Storm This February our Public Works staff managed a week of snow and freezing weather. We had several staff come in for late night work, as well as starting their shift many hours early to ensure a safe drive-time commute for Lynnwood travelers. This work includes laying down our brine material, that keeps the roads from freezing and becoming slick. And of course bringing out our snow plows. Their dedication demonstrates their excellent commitment to our community, and showed City leaders what an outstanding group of people make up the Lynnwood Public Works Department.
We are grateful for all the work the Public Works Operations Staff did to get our community through this storm event!
