Earlier this fall Artist Tori Shao created and finished the City's latest park mural called Bubblegum Dragon.
North Lynnwood Park, known to many as Dragon Park because of the dragon spray feature is a favorite to many. Tori Shao wants to create a fun, colorful, and kid-friendly design expanding upon the “Dragon Park” theme. The colors are derived from drawings made by students at Lynnwood Elementary envisioning a dragon mural at this location. (especially pink dragon in the 3rd panel down in pic attached)
Artist Shao shared, "I was telling some kids while I was painting it that the dragon is friends with the spray feature dragon, and that it grew up eating bubblegum which turned it pink.”
This sleeping dragon enjoys snoozing next to its friend, the water dragon at the spray pad, all summer long! Its dragon powers cause magical flowers to grow all around it.

History North Lynnwood Park is one of 17 Lynnwood neighborhood parks. It was developed in 1970 with one of Snohomish County's first spray parks. In 2009 the spray park was renovated with new spray features that are designed to be fun and also low-flow to conserve water.
