Chasing Arrows

When you see the chasing arrows on a product, you probably assume it can be recycled. Unfortunately that is not typically the case. The arrows can be on an item for a variety of reasons. It may have been made with recycled materials, or it may technically be recyclable, but it doesn't mean it is accepted at your recycling center.  This has been a point of concern for many in the recycling industry for a number of years. The good news is the EPA is looking at getting rid of the logo because of the confusion it causes. Hopefully this is a step in the right direction for reducing contamination in our recycling streams.

If you are ever wondering what can be recycled, here's a reminder on the basics. Paper, Cardboard, and Plastic Tubs and Jugs. When in doubt, throw it out!
