Temporary crosswalk striping on 196th St SW
Intermittent Lane Closures on 196th St SW
- On Monday, June 5 at 7 p.m., travel lanes on 196th St SW will be reduced while crews stripe the street for new lane markings and crosswalks
- Crews will begin in the eastbound lanes (towards I-5) and then move to the westbound lanes (towards Highway 99)
- Access to businesses and properties will be maintained
- This work will last for several nights
For the next few weeks, steel road plates will be placed on 196th St SW. These are temporary protective metal covers, placed over vaults and maintenance holes to keep traffic moving safely. Please use caution while driving over road plates as crews work as quickly as possible to level the surface underneath and remove the road panels.
Please follow all pedestrian and traffic control as work progresses.
