36th Avenue West Improvements

Grading at the roundabout for landscaping and truck apron.

Traffic Impacts

• The east leg of 172^nd St SW will be closed on March 30^th, 2020  for construction of the roundabout.
• Only North and South bound traffic will be allowed at the intersection of 36th Ave W and 172nd St SW while the roundabout is constructed.

Local access will be maintained for residents within the closure.  Please be aware of and follow the detour routes.

Please follow traffic control.

Week of May 4th

• Between 179^th St SW and 165^th Pl SW
• Form traffic Islands
• Landscaping at the 172^nd roundabout
• Hot mix asphalt paving 36^th Ave W
• Grading the roundabout for truck apron concrete
• Landscape walls at the back of sidewalk to fit existing contours
• Raising utility lids to match new pavement

Week of May 11th

• Between 179^th St SW and 165^th Pl SW
• Form and place concrete for traffic islands
• Place truck apron concrete at the 172^nd roundabout
• Landscape walls at the back of sidewalk to fit existing contours
• Placement of stamped concrete
• Raising utility lids to match new pavement
• Placing signs
• Placing monuments

Milestone Events:

• Activation of the signal at 179^th, and opening of the roundabout is anticipated in June.
