36th Avenue West Improvements

Paving the roundabout at 172nd ST SW and 36th Ave W

Traffic Impacts

• The east leg of 172^nd St SW will be closed on March 30^th, 2020  for construction of the roundabout.
• Only North and South bound traffic will be allowed at the intersection of 36th Ave W and 172nd St SW while the roundabout is constructed.

Local access will be maintained for residents within the closure.  Please be aware of and follow the detour routes.

Temporary channelization on 36th Ave W has moved the north and southbound lanes to the east side of the road. Please follow traffic control.

Week of April 27th

• Between 179^th ST SW and 165^th Pl SW
• Form and place concrete for curbs at 179^th, 180^th and 165th
• Turn signal at 179^th ST SW onto four way flash
• Hot mix asphalt paving 36^th Ave W
• Testing communications fiber optic lines

Week of May 4th

• Between 180th St SW and 165^th Pl SW
• Hot mix asphalt paving 36^th Ave W
• Landscape walls at the back of sidewalk to fit existing contours
• Placement of stamped concrete

Milestone Events:

• Paving the final lift of asphalt from 180^th Pl SW to 165^th Pl SW will take place April 20^th through estimated May 8th.
