City of Lynnwood Begins Park Impact Fees
Ordinance #3288 establishing Park Impact Fees on new development set to take effect on June 1, 2018.
LYNNWOOD, WA (Tuesday, May 29, 2018) - On March 12, 2018, the Lynnwood City Council adopted Ordinance #3288 establishing park impact fees on new residential and commercial development in the City of Lynnwood beginning June 1, 2018. Park Impact fees are used in over 80 Washington cities and counties to help finance park and trail capital needs related to population growth. Lynnwood's Park Impact Fees were developed with public participation and recommendations for the methodology set forth in the "Rate Study for Impact Fees for Parks, Open Space, and Recreation Facilities"
Ordinance #3288 establishes the fee schedule to begin at 80% of the fee study rates and move to 100% of the rates on January 1, 2020.
