FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE City of Lynnwood Selects New IT Director Drew Burnett to oversee the Information Technology Department
LYNNWOOD, WA (May 9, 2017) - On Monday, May 8, 2017, the Lynnwood City Council unanimously approved Mayor Nicola Smith's appointment of Drew Burnett to serve as the City's new Director of Information Technology.

"Director Burnett has the technical experience and the leadership skills to lead our talented group of IT professionals," said Mayor Nicola Smith. "I'm confident that Drew will be an excellent addition to my leadership team and help our City move towards innovation and excellence."
Director Burnett comes to the City of Lynnwood with over 16 years of Information Technology experience. Most recently he served as the Director of Information Technology for the non-profit Tucson Medical Center in Tucson, Arizona.
"Lynnwood is emerging as a leader in the Northwest," said Director Burnett. "There are a lot of great things we can accomplish and I'm looking forward to connecting IT to our City's community initiatives."
Director Burnett is a native of Kentucky, by way of Arizona, and he holds a Bachelors degree in Business Management. The City of Lynnwood has been without a permanent Information Technology Director since last November, when Jim Kelley returned to his home state of Colorado with his family.
