Lynnwood Partners with Washington State Department of Commerce on Regulatory Roadmap
The City of Lynnwood has partnered with
the Washington State Department of Commerce to create a Regulatory Roadmap. The Roadmap assists those who want to locate a manufacturing facility in Lynnwood by providing the information they need in a user friendly format. The Roadmap helps streamline the permitting application, eliminates regulatory surprises, and saves processing time and money.
The Regulatory Roadmap Initiative, developed by the
Department of Commerce, is a semifinalist in the Innovations in American Government
Awards Competition sponsored by Harvard University. “The Regulatory Roadmap initiative advanced
from a pool of more than 500 applications from all 50 states, and was selected
by the Innovations Award evaluators as an example of novel and effective action
whose work has had significant impact, and which they believe can be replicated
across the country and the world”, as stated in press release from the
Department of Commerce.
In keeping with Lynnwood’s Community Vision to be a regional
model, the City will launch their
Manufacturing Roadmap soon to provide
this excellent resource to manufacturers interested in Lynnwood. The Roadmap furthers Lynnwood’s
commitment to customer service and process improvements.
