Sister City Signing Ceremony and Reception

Sister City

The City of Lynnwood is pleased to announce that a delegation from Damyang, Jeollanam-do, South Korea - our new Sister City - will be visiting Lynnwood beginning next week.

The Sister City Program serves to build people-to-people relationships, provide educational opportunities, promote international trade and tourism, and culture sharing. The success in building our Sister City relationships and opportunities is in no doubt, because of our partnership with the Lynnwood Sister City Association, a 501(c)(3) organization.

In addition to the many tours and activities planned for the delegation, the Lynnwood Sister City Association will be hosting a Sister City Signing Ceremony and Reception on Thursday, September 22nd, 2016 at the Lynnwood Convention Center. The public is welcome to attend the Signing Ceremony which will be held from 6:00-7:00pm. Directly following the Signing Ceremony, the Lynnwood Sister City Association is hosting a dinner reception. The cost to attend the reception is $50 per person.

During the Sister City Signing Ceremony, Damyang Mayor Choi Hyung-sik and Mayor Nicola Smith will be signing a Memorandum of Understanding, memorializing our Sister City relationship and marking the beginning of many opportunities between Lynnwood and Damyang.

If you are interested in joining the Lynnwood Sister City Association for the dinner reception, please RSVP to Sun Lee at 206-661-1179 by September 19.
