Route 20–Navy Yard City Detour
Effective Tuesday–Friday, June 6-9
Starting Tuesday, June 6, Kitsap Transit will detour a portion of Route 20–Navy Yard City during utility work. The detour is expected to last through Friday, June 9.
Detour: Route 20 will not travel south on Charleston Boulevard. It will bypass Rodgers Street, Lafayette Avenue, Patten Avenue, a portion of Marion Avenue, a portion of Arsenal Way and all of Summit Avenue. During the detour, the bus will travel First Street to Marion Avenue. On return trips to the Bremerton Transportation Center, after traveling Preble Street, the bus will travel National Avenue and Charleston Beach Road to Charleston Boulevard back to its normal route.
Fourteen stops will be closed – one on Charleston Boulevard south of First Street, two on Rodgers Street, two on Marion Avenue south of First Street, one on Lafayette Avenue, one on Arsenal Way and seven stops on Summit Avenue (see map). Three temporary stops have been added, one to Charlotte Avenue, one on First Street and one on Marion Avenue.
