Routes 20 & 26 – Detour
Effective Immediately through January 11
Starting today, Wednesday, Jan. 4, Kitsap Transit will detour a portion of Routes 20–Navy Yard City and 26–Bay Vista. Cascade Natural Gas is replacing a gas main and is doing utility work at the intersection of Arsenal Way and National Avenue. The detour is estimated to last one week.
Route 20–Navy Yard City will bypass a portion of 6th Street, Dora Avenue, Columbia Way and National Avenue north of Loxie Eagans Boulevard. After serving Bertha Avenue, the bus will travel back to 6th Street and Marion Avenue to Loxie Eagans Boulevard continuing its normal route.
Route 26–Bay Vista will bypass a portion of National Avenue south of 1st Street and a section of Arsenal Way. The bus will travel 1st Street and Bremerton Boulevard continuing its normal route.
Seven stops will be closed – three on Dora Avenue, two on National Avenue and two on Arsenal Way.
