Kitsap Transit Rider Alerts

10 AM Service Changes, Friday, Dec. 31
EXTREME WEATHER BULLETIN

Kitsap Transit is operating holiday schedules today. All routes that operate a holiday schedule will also operate their modified "Snow" route. See below for details.

Routed Buses: The following routes will travel modified "Snow" routes and will operate their holiday schedule times as close as possible. Due to traveling a different route, arrivals and departures may not match the holiday scheduled timepoints.

Routes 4, 5, 8, 9, 20, 26, 202, 212, 217, 221, 223, 225, 235, 237, 301, 307, 332, 344 and 390 will operate modified routes and on a holiday schedule. Route 235 is unable to serve Old Town due to icy conditions and will turn right onto Silverdale Way instead of traveling south of Bucklin Hill.

Route 302 will not operate due to icy conditions. Purdy Connection does not operate on holidays. Any route not listed will not operate.

South Kitsap: The Port Orchard Ferry/Southworth Ferry Emergency Route will operate from 5 AM to 7:30 PM from the Port Orchard Ferry and 7:55 PM from the Southworth Ferry. Click here to view Emergency Route.

Dial-A-Ride: BI Ride, Kingston Ride Fast Ferry Commuter and Southworth Ride Fast Ferry Commuter will operate a modified route. Kingston Ride, Nollwood Dial-A-Ride and SK Ride will not operate. Call 1.844.475.7433 (BI RIDE call 1.844.424.7433) for more information.

The Port Orchard Ferry will operate on a Sunday schedule, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Fast Ferries will operate normal weekday schedules.

The Annapolis Ferry is not operating this week due to the shipyard closure.

Contact ACCESS at 1.800.422.2877 if you need to check the status of your trip.

Please visit our Snow & Extreme Weather webpage after tomorrow morning to check the status of your bus or ferry service and to access snow route maps.

Unlike our regular weekday Extreme Weather announcements, today we will make service changes at 10 AM and 2 PM. We plan to issue a Rider Alert with information about the next service change about 45 minutes before the next interval. If we are not making changes to service in the next interval, we may not issue a rider alert or update for that interval.

Kitsap Transit encourages riders to take precautions and be prepared:

  • If your stop is on a hill, please walk to a stop on flat ground.
  • Give yourself plenty of time to get to the bus stop in the snow. Your bus stop may be late during inclement weather, so dress warmly and please be patient.
  • The floor of the bus or ferry may be slippery. Please use caution.
  • Download the Kitsap Transit Tracker mobile app to see the real-time location of your bus or ferry and view the expected time of arrival at your stop.

We prioritize the safety of our passengers and employees. Thank you for your patience. Stay safe out there!
