Please join us in welcoming Marche Ward as the new Clinical Manager for Kitsap Recovery Center (KRC). Marche will work from KRC directly with staff where she will provide clinical oversight and administrative support. Marche comes to Kitsap County with over two decades of experience in the field of addiction counseling, utilizing integrative models of care. Marche has worked as a clinician, supervisor, alongside children’s administration social workers, in the school district, within the medical clinic setting, and with countless substance use disorder (SUD) providers.
Marche earned a Bachelor of Liberal Arts degree from Evergreen State College, Tacoma campus where the guiding motto is Sankofa… “go back and fetch it.” Marche’s human services journey started at Tacoma Community College where an associate in applied sciences degree was obtained. Marche has received education from additional educational institutions in the arena of business administration and alternative health care. Marche’s previous position focused on talent acquisition and solutions in Human Resources.
Marche has an interest in understanding how to wholistically address social determinants by exploring creative solutions from a communal perspective. Solutions surface for Marche’ at times while meditating, or with both hands in the soil of the garden, or simply by listening to differing life perspectives. Going back and fetching another human being is a principle that Marche leans upon to be an active participant in change.
