Please join us in welcoming Heid Scheibner as the new Developmental Disabilities program supervisor. Heidi came to us from Pierce County, where she served in a similar position as the supervisor of the Developmental Disabilities Supported Employment and Community Inclusion program. Prior to that, she spent over a decade managing Trillium Employment Services, a nonprofit supported employment organization in Kitsap County.

Heidi’s experience also includes work with the federal government, where she contributed to initiatives emphasizing federal recruitment practices to hire people with significant disabilities and the importance of building a workforce reflective of the communities served.  Heidi's connection to the developmental disabilities community stems from having a close family member with a disability. This experience has shaped her understanding of the value of work for all and informed her approach to creating inclusive opportunities and advocating for meaningful support systems.

Heidi has served on several boards, including Leadership Kitsap and the Kitsap County Developmental Disabilities Advisory Board. She holds a master’s degree in leadership and management and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration Management. Heidi looks forward to working in Kitsap County and fostering collaboration to enhance support for people with developmental disabilities in her hometown.
