Kitsap County 2025 Administrative Code Edits

Kitsap County is proposing administrative code changes on an annual basis. For 2025, edits may be related to Title 16 (Land Division and Development) and Title 17 (Zoning). Public comment may be sent to CodeUpdates@kitsap.gov. Comments are due by 4:30pm on April 15, 2025. A public hearing with the Planning Commission is planned to occur on April 15th, 2025, where there will be additional opportunity for testimony.

Objectives of this code update include:

  • Eliminate or reduce conflicting or redundant provisions of code.
  • Add clarity to existing sections of code.
  • Consistency with State Law.
  • Improve code predictability or implementation for applicants or staff.

IMPORTANT DATES

A Planning Commission Public Hearing is planned for April 15th, 2025.

When scheduled, the hearing date, as well as other details on upcoming events and milestones can be viewed at the project webpage: Administrative Code Edits

Following the planning commission process, a work study and public hearing will be held with the Board of County Commissioners. Details of those dates will also be posted on the project webpage. Adoption is planned for May or June of 2025.
