Appreciating a few of CK's jewels
One of the best things about living on the Kitsap Peninsula is the thousands of acres of forested lands, open spaces, wildlife, and birding habitat we get to enjoy year-round.
The Kitsap County Parks, Recreation, and Open Space (PROS) Plan 2024 outlines our goals, priorities, and actions to enhance and preserve our parks, recreation facilities, and open spaces.
Your voice is important! The PROS Plan 2024 includes a Needs Assessment, which is YOUR opportunity to provide feedback and input. The survey is only eighteen questions and remains open through July. Read more about the process and access the survey at the link below.

Representing and celebrating our community
On July 6, the U.S. Department of Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg visited Port Orchard to tour the Port of Bremerton’s Port Orchard Breakwater and celebrate the $9.4 million RAISE Discretionary Grant recently awarded to the Port.
It was a wonderful event that the Kitsap County Commissioners celebrated with our local, state, tribal, and federal elected officials.
