May is Building Safety MonthBuilding Safety Month is celebrated in May to raise awareness about building safety. The campaign reinforces the need for the adoption of modern, regularly updated building codes, and helps individuals, families and businesses understand what it takes to create safe and sustainable structures. Kitsap County’s 2024 Critical Areas Ordinance (CAO) update is underway with opportunities for the public to get involved and talk about all things:
The Kitsap County Code (KCC) Title 19 CAO was last reviewed and updated in 2017. This update will ensure compliance with state mandates and consistency with local regulations and the Comprehensive Plan.
