The Licensing & Recording Division of the Auditor’s Office is looking for an Office Support Specialist to join the team! The ideal candidate will have a strong background in customer service with heavy public contact, as well as records retention experience.
This is a full-time position with wages ranging from $22.01 - $31.09 hourly, with an anticipated starting wage of $24.29. This position is covered under the AFSCME Local 1308 Courthouse Employee Collective Bargaining Agreement, and offers medical/dental/vision, life insurance, participation in the PERS State Retirement Plan, plus annual vacation and sick leave accruals. Work hours for this position are Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. – 4:45 p.m.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR PERFORMANCE OF THE ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or GED; AND
- Three years of progressively responsible administrative support work with extensive public contact; OR
- Equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Completion of Associate's Degree or higher can be substituted for up to one year of experience.
PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, OR QUALIFICATIONS:
- Comprehensive records retention knowledge as set forth by the Washington State Archives.
- Washington State Department of Licensing Vehicle Field System Certification preferred, but not required.
