PUBLIC INPUT NEEDED FOR
SCHOLD FARM/CLEAR CREEK MASTER PLAN

In the early 1990s, Kitsap County acquired properties collectively referred to as the Schold Farm and several adjoining properties immediately east of State Route 3 and north and south of State Route 303. These properties are also located within the Clear Creek Watershed and have been used for various purposes, including recreation, floodplain restoration, and wetland mitigation.

The County is currently developing a master plan to better align with passive recreation, wetland habitat, and hydrology trail safety and maintenance goals for the area.

Additionally, the County has been working with state resource agencies, tribes, a dedicated volunteer group, the Clear Creek Taskforce, and County departments to develop three conceptual alternatives for the site. The three concepts drafted will focus on trail placement, wetland creation, and increasing the hydrologic connectivity over the entire area. As part of this process, public input is needed to help further refine design elements.
