Cases continue to decline but COVID-19 is still spreading widely in our area
-
COVID-19 case rates continue to decline, but disease activity is still higher than it was before cases began to surge last November. You can help drive down case rates even further by taking precautions, such as wearing masks in crowded indoor places, getting vaccinated, and encouraging friends and family to get vaccinated. Find local vaccination opportunities kcowa.us/vaccine or go to vaccinelocator.doh.wa.gov.
-
Testing remains key to clamping down on COVID-19. With fast-moving variants of the virus accounting for most of the new cases reported, it is still crucial for people who are feeling sick to get tested and avoid contact with others. Testing is widely available in Kitsap. Learn more at kcowa.us/covid19.
-
New studies cited by the National Institutes of Health provide additional evidence that COVID-19 vaccines are safe and very effective for women who are pregnant. Research also indicates that mothers who are vaccinated during pregnancy could pass protection to their newborns. Read more at directorsblog.nih.gov.
