Kitsap at risk of being moved to back to Phase 2 as COVID-19 activity surges
-
COVID-19 cases are rising rapidly in our county, with dozens of new cases reported daily. As we work to vaccinate as many community members as possible, please encourage people around you to keep taking steps to fight the spread of the virus in our workplaces, community centers, schools, and neighborhoods.
- As cases increase, Kitsap County is at risk of being moved back to Phase 2 of the state’s reopening plan. A move back to Phase 2 would mean tighter restrictions on gatherings, indoor dining and retail, sports and entertainment, and other activities. We expect the state to announce phase changes next week. Learn more about what’s open under each phase.
-
Getting vaccinated will help prevent more people from getting sick, and keep our county on track for recovery. More than one third of Kitsap residents are now fully vaccinated, but we still have a long way to go to gain widespread immunity in our community. Find a vaccine near you at vaccinelocator.doh.wa.gov.
