Vaccine appointments available in Kitsap this week; COVID-19 spreading widely among young people
-
Fighting COVID-19 can be as easy as going outside. Sunny weather makes it natural to get outdoors, which is also an excellent way to reduce your risk of getting or spreading COVID-19. Let’s keep avoiding indoor gatherings and make “take it outside” our motto this spring.
-
Vaccine appointments are widely available in Kitsap County this week. To find a vaccine near you, visit vaccinelocator.doh.wa.gov or call 1-800-525-0127. If you need help getting an appointment at a Kitsap Public Health District clinic, call us at 360-728-2219 (360-728-2218 for Spanish).

COVID-19 is spreading most widely among young people in our community. Residents in their 20s account for nearly one-quarter of the COVID-19 cases reported to date. Encourage family and friends of all ages to take caution by wearing a mask, avoiding crowds, distancing, getting tested if they are sick, and getting vaccinated as soon as they are able. Remember: everyone 16 or older is eligible to get vaccinated!
