Kitsap Public Health opening drive-through vaccination clinic at Olympic College Poulsbo
A small number of appointments are available Friday at the new Poulsbo clinic. Appointments are also available this week at our clinic in East Bremerton. Book at kphd.timetap.com.
KITSAP COUNTY, WA — Kitsap Public Health District and the Kitsap County Emergency Operations Center opened a drive-through COVID-19 vaccine clinic this week at the Poulsbo campus of Olympic College, providing Kitsap residents with another convenient option for getting vaccinated.
Advance appointments are required for vaccination. Register at kphd.timetap.com.
The Poulsbo clinic was developed in partnership with Olympic College, the City of Poulsbo, Kitsap County Medical Reserve Corps, and Kitsap County Emergency Medical Services.
"Our goal is to vaccinate Kitsap residents as safely, efficiently, and equitably as possible," Kitsap Public Health District Health Administrator Keith Grellner said. "We are grateful to Olympic College Poulsbo and the Olympic College Nursing Program for making this North Kitsap site possible."
Olympic College President Marty Cavalluzzi, Ph.D. said the Poulsbo vaccine clinic expands the college's ongoing commitment to supporting COVID-19 response.
“In December 2020, we partnered with Kitsap Public Health District to provide drive-through COVID-19 testing at our Bremerton Campus,” Cavalluzzi said. “I am pleased that we are able to expand upon our partnership to offer vaccinations at our Poulsbo campus and I applaud our nursing program, which has demonstrated tremendous leadership throughout the pandemic.”
Kitsap Public Health and the Kitsap County Emergency Operations Center are working with community partners to plan vaccination opportunities in more areas of the county, including a site in South Kitsap. More details will be announced as they become available.
Kitsap County is making steady progress on COVID-19 vaccination. More than 20% of all Kitsap residents (about 55,400 individuals) had received at least one dose of vaccine as of Monday, March 15. About 12% were fully vaccinated. For more information, go to kcowa.us/vaccine

Supporting equitable access
As COVID-19 vaccination eligibility expands to include more groups, Kitsap Public Health remains committed to ensuring access for people who already qualify for vaccination under earlier phases, including seniors 65 or older.
We are reserving a portion of our appointments each week for people who do not have internet, are not able to use an online registration form, or have other barriers to getting vaccinated. Our team will fill these appointments by calling people who have reached out to us for assistance or have been referred to us by community organizations.
People who do not have computer access or are not able to use an online registration system can call us at 360-728-2219 (360-728-2218 for Spanish) and leave a message. Our team will reach out as appointments become available at our clinic.

COVID-19 PREVENTION TOOLKIT
More Kitsap County residents are getting vaccinated, but it will take months for the majority of our community to have protection against COVID-19. We need to keep using all the tools we have to slow the spread of the virus:
-
Wear a mask anytime you are around people you don't live with.
-
Keep 6 feet of distance between you and people you don't live with.
-
Wash your hands frequently.
-
Be ready to get vaccinated when you are eligible.
