COVID-19 cases holding steady; vaccination appointments available
- After declining over the past two months, the number of new COVID-19 cases reported in our county is now holding steady. We need to keep working together to prevent cases from rising again.
- Our contact tracers report COVID-19 is spreading within households and extended families. Protect loved ones by staying apart from others if you feel sick and getting tested for COVID-19. If you gather with family or friends, keep your group small, meet outside, wear masks, and stay spaced.
- There are COVID-19 vaccine appointments available in our community this week. If you are eligible to get vaccinated, now is the time to get signed up! The state will open eligibility to more groups later this month, and it could become more difficult to book an appointment if you wait. Check your eligibility at findyourphasewa.org. You can register for our clinic at kcowa.us/vaccine.
-
Our county is making great progress on COVID-19 vaccination. More than 50% of Kitsap residents 65 or older have received at least one dose of vaccine, and about 17% of all residents have received a dose. Learn more on our vaccine page.
