Kitsap Public Health clinic provides 2,200 vaccinations; opening more appointments next week
- A clinic operated by Kitsap Public Health and the Kitsap County Emergency Operations Center vaccinated more than 2,200 community members in Bremerton this week.
- Kitsap Public Health will receive about 2,300 first doses of Pfizer vaccine for next week, as well as about 400 second doses of Moderna for returning patients.
- The clinic is open to people who qualify under Phase 1a or Phase 1b, Tier 1. Appointments are required.
BOOKING AN APPOINTMENT
-
We will release first-dose Pfizer vaccine appointments for next week on MONDAY, MARCH 8, at kcowa.us/vaccine
- Appointments will be available for Tuesday-Thursday, (March 9-11).
-
To give patients more opportunities to book an appointment, we will open appointment slots in batches at three times on Monday:
-
We expect appointments to fill very quickly. Demand for vaccination remains high and appointments are limited.
-
IMPORTANT: If you book an appointment at our clinic and need to cancel, be sure to cancel your appointment through our Timetap registration system as soon as possible. This allows us to schedule someone else to fill your spot and helps us make the most efficient use of volunteer time and vaccine supplies.
Supporting equitable access
To support equitable access to COVID-19 vaccination, we are reserving a portion of our appointments each week for people who do not have internet, are not able to use an online registration form, or have other barriers to getting vaccinated. Our team will fill these appointments by calling people who have reached out to us for assistance or have been referred to us by community organizations. Learn more about getting registration help.
Other healthcare providers in our community may have appointments available. View a list of Kitsap vaccine providers.
SECOND DOSES
We can only provide second doses of vaccine to people who received their first dose at our clinic in the former St. Michael (Harrison) hospital in East Bremerton. If you received your first dose at our clinic, you have already been scheduled for a second dose. If you have a confirmed second-dose appointment at our clinic and need to contact us, email: confirmedvaccineappts@kitsappublichealth.org.
If you received your first dose from a different provider, you will need to coordinate your second dose with your original provider.

KEEP FIGHTING COVID-19
More Kitsap County residents are getting vaccinated, but it will take months for the majority of our community to have protection against COVID-19. We need to keep using all the tools we have to slow the spread of the virus:
-
Wear a mask anytime you are around people you don't live with.
-
Keep 6 feet of distance between you and people you don't live with.
-
Wash your hands frequently.
-
Be ready to get vaccinated when you are eligible.
