Annual awards celebrate local environmental action

Do you know an individual, group, or business in your community who goes above and beyond to protect the environment? Celebrate them!
Kitsap County Public Works and the Board of County Commissioners want to recognize Kitsap’s outstanding environmental stewards. We need your help to do it!
Complete the nomination form by March 27, 2020 to tell us who you are nominating and why they deserve an Earth Day Award.
Winners will be celebrated during the Kitsap County Board of County Commissioners regular meeting on April 27, 2020.
Since 1993, 177 local individuals, businesses, and groups have received an Earth Day Award from Kitsap County Public Works.

This year marks the 50th anniversary of Earth Day, which falls on April 22. The first Earth Day in 1970 is credited with launching the modern environmental movement and led to landmark environmental laws including the Clean Air, Clean Water, and Endangered Species Acts.
