KITSAP READY!

Whether you need to grab a bag and go, or get stuck in your home due to a disaster or winter weather, it is important have emergency supplies ready.

We want you to be #KitsapReady!

Tip # 5 - Gather emergency supplies

Prepare a "go" bag!

If you need to leave your home suddenly due to an emergency, have a easy to carry, "go" bag filled with essentials. Examples:

  • Non-perishable food and water
  • Prescription medications
  • Eye glasses (utilizing an older prescription)
  • Important documents, etc.

2 weeks ready at home!

Gather supplies in your home that can sustain you and your family up to 2 weeks. It doesn't take a disaster; don't forgot last year's snow storm that kept many people stuck at home for several days. Examples:

  • Non-perishable food and water
  • Diapers
  • First aid kit, etc,

Don't forget work and your car!

We often spend more time at work than at home, make sure to gather supplies that you leave at work and supplies that travel with you in your car. Examples:

  • Non-perishable food and water
  • Warm clothes
  • Toilet paper
  • Sturdy shoes, etc.

2 weeks ready
