No-contact advisory issued for Dyes Inlet and Port Washington Narrows due to combined sewer overflow
Seven-day no-contact advisory in effect through December 18th
Affected area: Dyes Inlet and Port Washington Narrows
Advisory: No-contact advisory
During a no-contact advisory, the public is advised to avoid contact with the water in the affected area. This means the District recommends against swimming, wading, or types of water recreation or play where water could be swallowed or get in the mouth, nose or eyes. People should also avoid direct skin contact if possible, and immediately wash with soap and water if they have exposure to the water. Signs have been posted at public access points along Dyes Inlet and Port Washington Narrows.
Effective Dates: December 11, 2018 - December 18, 2018

Source of pollution: Combined sewage overflow (CSO) reported by City of Bremerton Public Works and Utilities
Spill volume: 200,000 gallons of untreated combined storm and sewage water
