Updated Online Permitting Intake Process. Follow the steps below:

  • Step 1:  Locate and fill out the Online Permit Form for your project. Click "Email me my completed Online Permit Form" at the bottom of the page if you are finished or click “Save” and you will receive and email with a link to your form to resume later.
  • Step 2:  Access your email to retrieve your completed Online Permit Form in the required PDF format. Save your completed Online Permit Form to your computer.
  • Step 3: Review the Online Permit Form to identify and gather all required submittal items in the required PDF format -See Plan and Documents Standards.
  • Step 4:  *Log in to the Online Permit Center to apply and click “submit your application”. Your permit application number will be auto generated, scroll down to the submittals section to upload your completed Online Permit Form and all required submittal items.
  • Step 5:  DCD will send you an email notifying you of the required fees once DCD staff has verified that the correct permit type was identified and that all required submittal items have been uploaded. (If additional information is required, you will also be notified via email)  
  • Step 6: Pay required fees in the Online Permit Center. Your permit is now ready for review.
  • Step 7: DCD will review your permit and notify you of the next steps for your project.

*Please note:  Once your permit # is generated, all required documents must be uploaded within 14 days or it will be closed. However, you may contact DCD to have your permit re-instated once you have all required documents. Once your permit is reinstated, you will have 48 hours to complete the application process.
