Kitsap County Public Works seeks land for new Road Maintenance Facility

(Port Orchard, WA) - Kitsap County Public Works is seeking land to build a new Road Maintenance facility in the north end of the County. Operations and staff have outgrown the current North end road facility and access to and from the facility is an issue. A future facility will include an employee/crew building, a shop for vehicle maintenance, a covered canopy area for vehicles and equipment, and a materials storage area.

The land must meet the following conditions:

  • A minimum of 10 acres and maximum of 15 acres of usable, unencumbered property.
  • Have a Land Use designation of "Rural Industrial," "Commercial Industrial," or "Limited Areas of More Intense Rural Development (LAMIRD)."
  • Be close to a main road or highway for easy access.

All interested property owners or land representatives with acreage meeting the listed criteria are encouraged to contact Jacques Dean, Road Superintendent, at 360.337.4671 or jdean@co.kitsap.wa.us to discuss the project.
