WSDOT ADVISORY - A six week closure began Tuesday, June 14 on SR 166 between Port Orchard and Gorst. This closure is the first phase of a culvert replacement that includes SR 16 and Anderson Hill Road. Click here for more information. Visit the WSDOT website for project information. South Kitsap Area
ONGOING - E Main Street / E Madrone Avenue
(from the intersection of Beach Drive E and Spring Street E to Alaska Avenue E )
This road will be closed from May 2 through September 16 for phase 3 of a continuing stormwater project there. Closures are from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday. Traffic will be detoured around the work. Plan for significant delays. Use alternate routes when possible to avoid delays. Click here for more information about this project.
Central Kitsap Area
NEW - NW Taylor Road
(from the Northlake Way NW intersection west 250 feet)
Nordland Construction NW is doing culvert work here. Flaggers will direct motorists through the work area. Expect short delays of up to 5 minutes. This project continues through September.
ONGOING - Old Military Road NE
(between NE Foster Road and NE Fairground Road)
This road will be closed beginning Monday through September 20 for a sewer project. Closures are from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Thursday. Traffic will be detoured around the work. Plan for significant delays. Use alternate routes when possible to avoid delays.
ONGOING - NE McWilliams Road
(at the intersection with Old Military Road NE)
BCPI Earthworks starts on intersection re-construction and installing retaining walls, drainage, and sidewalks this week. Utility work in the area is taking place concurrently. This projects runs through mid-July.
ONGOING - Washington Avenue NE
(between SR 308 and the Keyport Marina)
This road has restricted access with daytime closures between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. through the fall of 2016. Kitsap County is upgrading existing sewer and storm water infrastructure, constructing new sidewalks, bulb-outs, and asphalt pavement. The road reopens during the evenings and weekends.
ONGOING - NW Bucklin Hill Road
(between Mickelberry Road NW and Blaine Avenue NW)
This road is closed until July 22. Kitsap County is replacing the double culverts with a bridge there. To learn more about this project, and sign up for automatic notifications during the project, click here.
North Kitsap Area
NEW - Miller Bay Road NE
(from Soundview Boulevard NE to NE Gunderson Road)
County crews are paving here Monday and Tuesday. A pilot card will guide motorists through the work area. Expect significant delays of up to 20 minutes. Use an alternate route if possible.
NEW - Clear Creek Road NW
(from NW Finn Hill Road to NW Pioneer Hill Road)
County crews are paving here Wednesday and Thursday. A pilot card will guide motorists through the work area. Expect significant delays of up to 20 minutes. Use an alternate route if possible.
UPDATED - Washington Boulevard
(4th street to end)
Crews continue repair work here this week.. Delays of between 10-20 minutes are expected in the immediate vicinity of the work. Flaggers will will directt motorists through the work area. 10,000 pound restriction remains in place during the work.
ONGOING - Hansville Road NE
(between Eglon Road NE and NE Bayberry Lane)
County crews continue a shoulder widening project here all week. Traffic will be restricted to one lane in the immediate vicinity of the work. Flaggers will assist motorists through the work area. Expect significant delays of up to 20 minutes. Use an alternate route if possible. Work is expected to continue through September.

Coming in July - Chico Way NW
(between SR 3 interchange and the NW Newberry Hill roundabout)
County crews begin a project to overlay the road here in July. Traffic will be restricted to one lane as work moves through the project area. Expect delays of 5-10 minutes in the immediate vicinity of the work. This project runs through August.
