This program includes music from two recent CD releases – Arvo Pärt and Peter Hallock: Draw on sweet night accompanied with other similar pieces in sound and illustrative text. The program is inspired by the deeply spiritual and mystical quality of Hallock and Pärt’s music. Unlike traditional composers, Hallock and Pärt (and all the other listed composers) abandon traditional musical forms for a unique sound world and structure that delivers a more story-based experience – as if the listener has been on a journey. Hallock once called his music, “musical iconography.” Join us for this musically captivating and transcendent experience.
