Votes are tallied by KPC and sent through to MANHATTAN SHORT HQ where the winner is announced on Sunday, October 6th.

Mélodies crépusculaires begins around the end of Louis XIV's reign, all extravagant artifice and sumptuousness, and casts back to the age of Lully and the vitality and richness of the early ballet, red-blooded music with real bones and teeth. Ensemble Amarelli is Miyo Aoki (recorders), Curtis Foster (oboe), Courtney Kuroda (violin), Chris Briden (bass viol), Anna Marsh (bassoon), and John Lenti (theorbo and guitar). 
The Early Music Guild and Northlake Unitarian Universalist Church (NUUC) in Kirkland partner to present concerts by the Northwest’s finest performers. Enjoy great chamber music in the lovely, intimate chapel at NUUC, 315 3rd Ave S, Kirkland

Kirkland Arts Commission seeks grant applications by Oct. 11 to promote arts, culture, heritage
The Kirkland Cultural Arts Commission seeks innovative and creative ideas that showcase Kirkland’s arts, culture, and heritage.  Artists and arts organizations who have a unique proposal that promotes performance art, literary art, and other artistic ventures are encouraged to apply.  Proposals are due by 4 p.m. on October 11, 2013. The Commission has $2,500 available in funding. Proposed activities must occur within Kirkland city limits and occur before December 15, 2013.  The grant application form is available online at www.kirklandwa.gov or by contacting Philly Hoshko at phoshko@kirklandwa.gov or 425-587-3013.
