The 2013 concert series runs through August 22. Tuesday children's shows are from 10-11 AM at Juanita Beach Park. Thursday shows are for all ages from 7-8:30 PM at Marina Park. The shows are free with a $2 suggested donation per adult.

This epic story recounts the struggle against adversity in 19th century France. Imprisoned for stealing a loaf of bread, petty thief Jean Valjean is released from his 19-year term and not only becomes an honest man, but the mayor of a prosperous town and a loving adoptive father – violating his parole in the process. The relentless Inspector Javert, who makes a decent life for Valjean impossible, consequently pursues him. Only years later, after Valjean proves his mettle during a bloody student uprising and saves the life of a young man hopelessly in love with Valjean’s adopted daughter, does the ex-convict finally feel fully redeemed. A musical by Alain Boubil and Claude-Michel Schönberg

Friday, August 9

  • Summerfest kicks off 2013 bigger than ever with an opening night special theatrical presentation of The Tempest in the ever-popular Shakespeare in the Park at 7pm, Marina Park. FREE 

Saturday, August 10

  • Live music, Artists in Action, food trucks, robotics demonstrations, TechZone, Moss Bay Cardboard Boat Regatta, Play more Kids area, Rides, Touch-A-Truck, Young Artists Exhibition, beer and wine gardens. Festival opens at 11am. Admission is FREE. 

Sunday, August 11

  • Live music including artists from Northwest Folklife, Artists in Action, Rotary Duck Dash, Bot Battles, TechZone, Play more Kids area, Rides, Touch-A-Truck, Young Artists Exhibition, beer and wine gardens. Festival opens at 11am. Admission is FREE.
