Tip of the TermIt's the first day of Fall and the accompanying weather is certainly here! When the wind starts blowing it's important to remember that the power could go out at any time. Check your emergency preparedness kits at home, in your vehicle, and at work, make sure you have fresh batteries handy, and don't forget to sign up for Power Outage Preparedness with Puget Sound Energy on Thursday, September 26. |
A Message from EMEmergency Management is seeking your input! The City would like to provide community members with the opportunity to share their hazard-related concerns. This information will help guide future planning and resource needs. If you are interested in providing feedback, please take our short Hazard Survey. This is a quick, 10-question survey designed to give us a better understanding of the community's thoughts on which types of hazards are most concerning. We appreciate your input! CERT CornerWe are looking for volunteers for the Fall CERT Disaster Drill! We need disaster "survivor" volunteers so class participants can rescuing and treating people during the final drill. Being a CERT drill volunteer is a lot of fun and lunch is provided! Volunteers are needed the morning of Saturday, November 2. Learn more and sign up online. KECT BroadcastThe Kirkland Emergency Communications Team (KECT) is a volunteer group that assists the City of Kirkland when normal communications fail. Love to talk? Have a technical side?
