The City of Kirkland would like to invite you to City Hall for All on Saturday, October 6, 2018, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at City Hall, 123 5th Ave. This event is an opportunity for you to get your City business taken care of on a Saturday, provide feedback on various topics, and learn about community resources. For the City of Kirkland, this is an opportunity for us to meet you, hear your thoughts, and welcome you to your City Hall.

On Saturday, City staff will be available to process utility payments, provide passport services, license your pet, license your business, and assist you at the Parks Department counter. Additionally, outside resources will be available to register you to vote and to provide consultations for your small business.

City Hall for All is also a great time to have coffee with a Councilmember, find out about volunteer opportunities, learn about City programs, and participate in focus groups on the City's Americans with Disabilities Act Plan and the Bike Share Pilot Program.

More information about activities and services available during City Hall for All is available online at www.kirklandwa.gov/cityhallforall. We hope that you will be able to drop-by and see us. We look forward to meeting you.

City of Kirkland Receives Eleventh Consecutive "Clean" Audit

CAFR FInal

The City of Kirkland has received its eleventh consecutive “clean” audit from the Office of the Washington State Auditor.

Earlier this year, the Office of the Washington State Auditor completed an accountability audit, a financial statement and federal grant compliance audit, and issued an opinion letter regarding the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report. In the Exit Conference, the Auditor’s Office stated that, “We commend the City of Kirkland for not having any findings or management letters given the size and complexity of the City.”

“The audit reports confirm the City of Kirkland’s high standards and strong performance in transparency, accountability, and responsible management of public funds,” said Deputy Mayor Jay Arnold, Chair of the Finance and Administration Committee. “Fiscal responsibility will continue to be a top priority for the City of Kirkland.”

The City of Kirkland has a long history of being recognized for financial transparency and accountability. In 2016, the City received the State Auditor’s Stewardship Award, “presented in recognition of outstanding accomplishment in the stewardship of public resources as we pursue the shared goal of government that works better, costs less, and earns greater public trust”.
