Upcoming Road Closure: NE 128th Way between 181st Avenue NE and Avondale Road NE

Beginning Monday, August 17, 2026

Near Redmond

Crews will close NE 128th Way between 181st Avenue NE and Avondale Road NE at 7 am on Monday, August 17, 2026, to complete the NE 128th Way Culvert Replacement Project. The closure will be in effect 24/7 for up to eight weeks. A signed detour will be in place.

During construction, the road will be fully closed in both directions for travelers, including emergency responders, bicyclists, and pedestrians at the project location. Local access will be maintained for properties within the work zone.

Occasional short-term closures at the Avondale Road NE intersection will begin a few weeks after the full closure begins. These closures will take place while crews move sections of the box culvert onto NE 128th Way with a crane. Sheriff deputies will guide traffic and delays are expected. We will send another Road Alert when this work is scheduled and update the project website with exact dates.

This work may be rescheduled or delayed due to machine, crew, or equipment availability or weather.
