Construction Complete: Drainage project on SW 104th St between 15th Ave SE and 17th Ave SE on Tuesday, April 14th |

Today, April 15, crews will wrap up work in White Center on SW 104th St between 15th Ave SE and 17th Ave SE after six weeks of replacing worn-out pipes beneath the road. This work was necessary to complete before this summer’s Pedestrian Safety Improvements & Traffic Calming Project. By replacing the aging underground pipe in March-April, we avoid tearing up the road twice when summer construction begins.
This project began on March 3 and included four weeks of lane restrictions and a two-week intersection closure. Access to businesses and residences was maintained throughout the duration of the project.
Thank you to the community members and our partners who helped to keep this project on track.
