Making Water Taxi fares easy with ORCA and TransitGo
When riding the Water Taxi, we strongly encourage the use of the ORCA system or the Transit GO app. Some riders are experiencing technical difficulties with the ticket vending machines located at Seacrest Park Dock and the Pier 50 and Vashon Ferry Terminals.
Using the ORCA system
Riders can skip the ticketing lines and tap their ORCA cards on the card reader held by a crew member. Your card must be loaded with a PugetPass or E-purse value. To add value and manage your ORCA card, create an account at myORCA.com.
Please note! For riders who previously shared an ORCA card or paid for multiple passengers, there’s an important change to be aware of: Each rider will need their own ORCA card to pay their fare from now on. (Group fares for caregivers or school trips are still available in advance through customer service.)

The MyORCA team can be reached on Twitter or online via form or phone. Metro’s customer service staff also can help riders who have questions that aren’t answered on the myORCA website by calling 206-553-3000 weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Using your mobile device to purchase Transit GO tickets
If you are ever without an ORCA card and needing to travel, consider purchasing Transit Go tickets before boarding the Water Taxi. Transit Go tickets are a convenient mobile option for paying fares that also works on most systems in the Puget Sound area. When you're ready to board, simply activate the ticket and show your screen to the crew member when boarding the Water Taxi.
