Weekend Service Impacts

Event Reroute for Route 2; transit service will be rerouted during the Union Pride Block Party from the start of service on Friday, June 24 to the end of service on Sunday, June 26;

Event Reroute for Routes 49 and 60; transit service will be rerouted during PrideFest in Capitol Hill on Saturday, June 25 from 5 a.m. to midnight;

Event Reroute for Route 5; transit service will be rerouted in both directions during the Greenwood Classic Car Show on Saturday, June 25 from 5 a.m. to 6 p.m.;

Event Reroute for Routes 1, 2, 3, 4, 7, 8, 10, 11, 12, 13, 24, 33, 40, 49, 62, 70, 101, 150, RapidRides C and D Lines, ST 545, ST 550, ST 554, and Trailhead Direct routing; transit service will be rerouted during the Seattle Pride Parade on Sunday, June 26 for varied times from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.;

- Take transit to various Pride events starting Friday, June 24th through Sunday, June 26th. Visit Metro’s online regional Puget Sound Trip Planner to plan your trip;

Seattle Pride Parade is scheduled from 11am to 330pm on Sunday, June 26. Expect delays in the downtown Seattle area and closures on 4 Ave from Washington St to Denny Wy.;

PrideFest Capitol Hill is scheduled from 6am to midnight on Saturday, June 25. Expect delays in the Capitol Hill area and closures on Broadway between John St and Roy St.;

Capital Hill Pride March and Rally is scheduled from 10am to 8pm on Sunday, June 26. Expect delays and closures in the areas surrounding Cal Anderson Park;

Seattle Sounders vs. Sporting Kansas City match is scheduled to begin at 12 noon at Lumen Field. Expect delays in the SODO area;
- The Greenwood Car Show is scheduled from 6am to 6pm on Saturday, June 25. Expect delays in the Greenwood area and closures on Greenwood Ave N between N 67 St and N 90 St.;
- We recommend customers arrive at their bus stop a few minutes before the scheduled departure time of their trip;
- Remember, it's free and easy to sign up for email or text alerts about King County Metro service. Alerts can be tailored to your favorite route(s).

Weekend Kickoff
Celebrate at the Seattle Pride Parade and travel with Metro!
 The Seattle Pride Parade is back Sunday, June 26, and large crowds are expected to attend and honor our LGBTQIA+ community.
The parade starts at 11 a.m. on Fourth Avenue at Pike Street and travels north to Second Avenue and Denny Way. From about 7 a.m. until about 5 p.m., Fourth Avenue in downtown Seattle will be affected by street closures and traffic congestion associated with the parade. Transit service will be rerouted off Fourth Avenue. King County Metro bus routes 4, 7, 8, 10, 11, 12, 24, 26, 28, 33, 36, 40, 43, 47 and 66 and Sound Transit bus routes ST 522, ST 545 and ST 554 will be affected by this event. We are encouraging everyone to plan ahead if they are traveling to or around downtown Seattle. Sound Transit’s Link 1 Line is a great option to bypass traffic congestion and travel to – and under – downtown Seattle. Several Public Demonstrations Planned this Weekend

With the announcement of the ruling by the Supreme Court to overturn Roe v. Wade, a number of large-scale public demonstrations will take place in our region beginning Friday, June 24. Buses will operate near several planned demonstrations, be prepared for these impacts and allow extra time when you travel. Please expect delays in and around the downtown core and several other areas.

- Westlake Park, Seattle on Friday and Saturday at 5 p.m.

Coming this Saturday: Doorstep Delivery For Riders At U District Station
 The City of Seattle will open the Northeast 43rd Street westbound bus-only lane this Saturday, June 25. King County Metro Routes 20, 44, 49, 70 and 372 will soon be accessing a brand-new bus stop, connecting thousands of daily transit riders directly to and from the front door of Sound Transit’s U District Station. This exciting new development is thanks to a brand-new Seattle bus-only lane and clean, green overhead wires to power our electric trolley buses.
