Weekend Service Impacts

• Weekend Construction Reroute for Route 183; to Federal Way will be affected by the closure of westbound S 272nd St in the Star Lake area from 10 p.m. Friday, June 10 to 10 a.m. on Sunday, June 12;
• Overnight Construction Reroute for Route ST 554; Transit service will be affected by the closure of the EB I-90 on ramp from SB Rainier Avenue S from 10 p.m. Friday, June 10 to 4 a.m. on Saturday, June 11;

Service Reminders

• With Graduation Ceremonies happening throughout the region “it’s a great day to ride Metro” to get to events and activities where there is often traffic congestion and limited parking. Use the Puget Sound Trip Planner webpage or the Puget Sound Trip Planner App to plan your trip;
• Take Trailhead Direct to hike Little Si, Mount Si, and Mount Teneriffe trails Saturday, Sunday, and major holidays now through September 11, 2022. Find schedules, trail descriptions, and other details at the Trailhead Direct website;

• West Seattle Water Taxi and #773 and #775 shuttles are operating on the summer schedule, offering midday crossings 7 days a week, plus late options Fridays and Saturdays; 

• Remember, it's free and easy to sign up for email or text alerts about King County Metro service. Alerts can be tailored to your favorite route(s).

Weekday bus service adjustments begin Monday, June 13

Starting Monday, June 13, Metro will make minor adjustments to the current weekday service levels in response to operator availability. These adjustments to weekday bus schedules are to provide more accurate and reliable service for riders while Metro deals with staffing shortages. Metro will continue to hire and train transit operators to stabilize our workforce.

The first day of the weekday service changes will be Monday, June 13.

Starting Saturday, June 11, online timetables will be updated to reflect these changes. Before traveling, we encourage customers to check the online timetables or the canceled trips page.

For real-time updates showing whether a bus trip is operating, when it’s due to depart, or if it’s been canceled

• Use Text for Departures. Text your bus stop number to 62550 and receive the next bus trips headed your way or a cancellation notice. (Tip: Save 62550 in your phone in advance.)
• Go to “Next departures” on the Puget Sound Trip Planner webpage or the Puget Sound Trip Planner App. Check to see whether your trip is reporting its position and its estimated arrival time.
• Sign up for alerts about additional trip cancellations that occur unexpectedly due to no available operator. Subscribe to transit alert emails and texts, or follow our tweets on our Metro Alerts Twitter handle.
