Metro Transit Alert – Transit riders, be prepared for possible service delays on Tuesday as Metro recovers from recent extreme heat
King County, Washington sent this bulletin at 06/28/2021 10:26 PM PDTOn Tuesday, some transit riders may experience temporary service delays or individual canceled trips as Metro recovers from the extreme heat event of the last few days.
It is not possible to know in advance which routes or trips may be affected, however Metro encourages riders to use information tools that we provide.
Transit trip updates
For the scheduled (‘s’) or predicted departure times, and other information about transit service at your stop,
- Text your stop ID to 62550, or
- Visit ‘Next Departures’ in Metro’s online Trip Planner.

Check your email or text messages for a Transit Alert from Metro for the routes you signed up for. It’s easy to sign up online. Masks are still required while riding transit. Stay safe
Temperatures are dropping, but forecasts still have temperatures in the 80s and 90s for the balance of the week. Buses may be crowded or behind schedule. Be sure to stay out of the direct sun as best as you can, pack a water bottle, expect delays, and stay safe.
