Transit Alert – Transit service will be rerouted off of southbound 1 Av NE near Northgate Transit Center 8/27-9/25

From Thursday, August 27, through Friday, September 25, at all times, Metro routes 26, 40, 345 and 346 will be rerouted off of southbound 1st Av NE near the Northgate Transit Center, due to construction.

During this time, routes 26 and 40 heading toward downtown Seattle, 345 to Shoreline and 346 to the Aurora Village Transit Center will travel from the Northgate Transit Center either via NE 100th St or NE 103rd St, to 5th Av NE, NE 92nd St and then onto their regular route, and will serve all regular and temporary posted stops along the revised routing.

Heading to the Northgate Transit Center, these routes are not affected.

Metro has implemented coach capacity guidelines that could result in longer waits for some riders.  Be sure to allow plenty of time for your trip.

In accordance with King County public health directives and guidelines and for the safety of all transit riders and employees:

  • Wearing a mask or face covering is required in public places, on transit vehicles and at transit stops. Cover coughs and sneezes.
  • Stay home if you are sick.
  • Maintain 6 feet of distance from others.
  • Board and exit buses through the back door if possible. 
  • Observe and abide by signs and decals.
