Transit Alert – West Seattle & Burien routes will be revised to travel via Alaskan Way and Columbia St beginning 2/22

Starting Saturday, February 22, Metro routes 21 Express, 37, 55, 56, 57, 113, 120, 121, 122, 123, 125 and the RapidRide C Line, will be revised to travel via the new Columbia Street 2-way transit corridor and Alaskan Way.

These routes have recently been traveling via Pioneer Square and SODO surface streets.

The current stops on northbound 1st Av S just north of S King St and on the southbound 2nd Av Ext S just south of S Washington St will no longer be served.

New pathway and stops
To West Seattle or Burien
Heading southbound, Metro routes 21 Express, 37, 55, 56, 57, 113, 120, 121, 122, 123 and the RapidRide C Line will operate their current routing to Columbia St, then travel via Columbia St, Alaskan Way and SR 99 to continue to their West Seattle or Burien destinations.

Riders may board or exit at the new stop on westbound Columbia St just east of Alaskan Way.

To downtown Seattle
Heading north into downtown Seattle, these buses - except for Route 37 - will operate via SR 99, Alaskan Way and Columbia St, then continue via their current routing.

They will serve a new stop on eastbound Columbia St just west of Western Av.

The RapidRide C Line and Route 125 will also serve a new stop, northbound on Third Avenue just south of Marion St.

The rest of the northbound routes will serve the currently posted bus stop northbound on 3rd Av just south of Madison St.

Route 37 will continue to operate its current routing into downtown Seattle.

Route 125 loop
The Route 125 “loop” routing through downtown Seattle will be revised to use Alaskan Way and the new Columbia St 2-way transit corridor, and will operate northbound on 3rd Av and southbound on 2nd Av.

It will no longer serve stops on northbound 1st Av or southbound 3rd Av. 

Route 125 will serve the new stops on Columbia St.
