Road Closures:
Follow My Commute to monitor road closures and updates in unincorporated King County (select “Map layers” at the top of the My Commute webpage to view WSDOT travel alerts). Do not walk or drive through closed roadways or standing water. If you are experiencing an emergency, please call 911. Please report any unincorporated King County road issues to our 24/7 Road Helpline at 206-477-8100 or toll-free at 800-527-6237. For non-urgent issues, please email maint.roads@kingcounty.gov.
Safety:
Use caution - Flooding in many areas increased to levels that have not been experienced in years. Residents and travelers should prepare for wind and rising waters overtop major arterials and sole access roads, which could cut off access to neighborhoods. Expect fast and deep flows which will create dangerous conditions throughout the floodplain. Do not walk or drive through closed roadways or standing water, avoid downed power lines, and please reach out to neighbors who may not have access to social media or automatic alerts.
Sandbags:
Free sandbag materials are available 24/7 in Black Diamond at the King County Roads facility, 20827 SE Auburn Black Diamond Road. Limit 25 bags per vehicle. Empty sandbags and sand are available. Shovels not provided. For a complete list of distribution locations go to www.kingcounty.gov/flood.
